Excitement on Celebrating National Batik Day In Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport– Balikpapan

Balikpapan - The management of Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan International Airport– Balikpapan, branch of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero)in cooperation with Balikpapan  City Government and National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Balikpapan held a series of 2016National Batik Day celebration.

The event to commemorate National Batik Day began on September 30,until October 3, 2016, there was Batik Exhibition located in Departures Terminal Atrium by local boutiques in Balikpapan namely Boutique Vi, Arnesta, Shaho, AmpikHome, Aniera, Batik RKB, I Watik and Javabor, and Craftsman Batik was located in front of Gate 5 and 6.

Then, on October 1, the event is filled with a coloring competition level of kindergarten and elementary school then also enlivened by the appearance of Nursery Marching Band from three schools, followed by a demonstration Batik Fashion Show Contest with the participants’ age criteria 5-9 years.

The main event is on Sunday (02/10/2016), it’s the Fashion Show from 8 local boutiques in Balikpapan involving 48 talents/models and continued with Carnival from 10 talents/models. the event is was attended by Rizal Effendi the Mayor of Balikpapan, and Head of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism (Disporabudpar) Balikpapan City as well as the official of the city of Balikpapan.

In his speech, Pujiono General Manager International Airport Sepinggan SAMS - Balikpapan expressed gratitude to the Balikpapan City Government, National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) Balikpapan City and all those who took part in this event. Pujiono added Management SAMS Sepinggan International Airport – Balikpapan, Branch Office of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) will continue working to establish a good cooperation to Balikpapan City Government to introduce the potential that exists in the city of Balikpapan.

Furthermore, Rizal Effendi the Balikpapan Mayor attended and responded positively to these activities. Delivering his speech also pronounce gratitude for the cooperation that has existed well so far with of SAMS Sepinggan International Airport – Balikpapan, Branch Office of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero).

After it, the event continued to take pictures together with the Branch Office Management Board of SAMS Sepinggan International Airport – Balikpapan PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero), Balikpapan Official Elements, and invited guests also the talents / models. And followed by sharing flowers to airport services users which delivered directly by Rizal Effendi the Balikpapan Mayor and Pujiono the General Manager.
